case study
Cirque du Soul and El Dorado Festival

We worked with Cirque Du Soul events and El Dorado Festival to deliver an in-person training session about vulnerability in the events industry and festivals. We focussed on the vulnerable hotspots that could potentially cause problems at events to ensure we have the right procedures and techniques to ensure that staff, suppliers, customers and artists are as safe as they can be.

We looked at how we can create an empowering and respectful workplace environment within the Cirque du Soul and El Dorado Festival team both during and after events have taken place. We had some really encouraging discussions with members of the senior team about gaslighting, microaggressions, unconscious bias, mansplaining and the impact of interrupting and dominating conversations.

'Openness and relaxed nature of the conversations, the environment felt safe and team felt safe to share. There was a lot of information we didn't know collectively and certainly individually that was great to learn on.'
