case study
Head of Steam

We recently ran a training session with The Head of Steam group, a popular craft beer venue in the UK's major cities, and Urban Country Pubs as part of Camerons Brewery.

In one afternoon we ran one of our interactive training sessions on identifying, preventing and responding to sexual violence and other inappropriate behaviour, with management teams from 24 venues. Our training, advice and guidance creates a safe place not just for customers, but staff too who are uniquely vulnerable to sexual harassment, assault and violence whilst at work. Every Head of Steam venue in the UK is now a certified Safe Place alongside their Urban Country Pubs in Leeds and York: the Lamb and Flag, The Brewery Tap, the Midnight Bell, Crowd of Favours and The Fossgate Tap.

The topics covered were difficult but I really enjoyed being able to speak openly about them. The personability of the real life scenarios presented, which are true stories from The Egalitarian community, made this sesson particularly interesting. Being able to participate in such important discussions made me see how you can really make a difference.
